    Covid-19 infections in Riga schools have dropped over week

    RIGA, Feb 15 (LETA) - Over the past week, the spread of Covid-19 in Riga's schools slowed down, according to information released by the city's Education, Culture and Sports Department. 

    A week ago, distance learning had been ordered for 71 schools due to Covid-19 infections, but this week Covid-19 has only affected 37 schools in the capital city. 

    A total of 541 groups of students had switched partly or fully to distance learning, but this week, their number is down to 233. 

    Covid-19 cases in preschool institutions have been dropping as well, with the number of  affected preschools decreasing from 50 last week to 42 this week.
