Gathering of people, fireworks banned during state of emergency
RIGA, Dec 30 (LETA) - During the state of emergency, gathering of people and fireworks will be banned, according to the amendments to the Cabinet of Ministers regulations on the state of emergency.
The government decided to cancel and ban all public events, including fireworks.
In order to reduce gathering of people and risks of infection, protecting public safety and health, in addition to the existing bans on organization of public events, now also outdoor meetings, rallies and pickets will be banned.
State of emergency has been declared in Latvia from November 9 until February 7 in order to curb Covid-19 spread in the country.
