New Unity's municipal election campaign cost more than EUR 900,000
Riga, July 11 (LETA) - The political party alliance New Unity spent EUR 925,253 on its campaign for the local elections, according to the statement of revenues and expenses for the local elections submitted by the political force.
The party's total income was EUR 170,977. Of this, EUR 83,400 were reported as other income, EUR 71,006 as financial donations, EUR 10,026 as other donations and EUR 6,545 as membership and joining fees.
The largest amount or EUR 136,027 were spent by the party on payments to affiliated parties. New Unity spent EUR 60,152 on advertising on public television, EUR 9,097 on public radio, EUR 13,553 on commercial television and EUR 87,559 on commercial radio.
Internet advertising accounted for EUR 23,284, while advertising in newspapers, magazines, newsletters and other periodicals produced in print and widely distributed throughout the national territory accounted for EUR 42,573 and EUR 21,316 in the territory of a single city or district.
The New Unity spent EUR 64,979 on advertising in premises and public places, EUR 88,283 on the production of all types of advertising material, EUR 83,573 on postal services, EUR 114,073 on the planning, preparation and organization of the election campaign, and EUR 93,567 on salaries and other payments to individuals involved in the election campaign.
EUR 37,816 were spent on the publication of newspapers, magazines, newsletters, books and other printed publications for the electoral campaign, EUR 9,228 on the rental of movable and immovable property and EUR 2,773 on charitable activities.
The political force also paid EUR 25,074 for presentation materials, EUR 2,031 for website improvements and domain purchases, EUR 2,689 for representation expenses and EUR 7,605 for security deposits.
Pre-election expenditure subject to the restrictions of the Law on the Financing of Political Organizations (Parties) amounted to EUR 325,287.
