Heating tariffs in Kekava to be raised four and a half times from August
RIGA, July 2 (LETA) - Kekavas Nami municipal housing manager in late June submitted new heating tariffs to the Public Utilities Commission, according to publication on the commission's internet site.
The current heating tariff is EUR 39.64 per MWh, excluding VAT, while the new tariff will be four and a half times higher - EUR 181.14 per MWh.
The tariff hike is related with increase in natural gas prices.,
Kekavas Nami said that on June 30, the company's agreement with Latvijas Gaze on natural gas supplies expired.
According to Firmas.lv, Kekavas Nami, belonging to Kekava municipality, in 2021 generated EUR 4.18 million in turnover and closed the year with a loss of EUR 51,190.
