30% of Daugavpils local budget come from Municipal Cohesion Fund
RIGA, Feb 12 (LETA) - 30 percent of Daugavpils local budget will come from the Municipal Cohesion Fund, according to the information published by Daugavpils county council.
This year revenue to the municipal budget are projected at EUR 25 million, including EUR 6.6 million in personal income tax, EUR 1.2 million in property tax, EUR 500,000 in natural resources tax, while EUR 14.5 million will be transfers from the government budget.
Expenditure has been planned at EUR 29.1 million.
The priorities in the county include promoting development in business environment, infrastructure and environment. Investments will be made also in social, education and health care sectors. One of the basic tasks is to achieve balanced development in the whole county, ensuring services to its residents.
EUR 100,000 have been earmarked in the contingency fund, while EUR 400,000 have been allocated for implementation of the administrative territorial reform.
