RIGA, Sept 24 (LETA) - Of the 710 new Covid-19 cases recorded in Latvia over the past 24 hours, 38 percent were recorded in Riga, and quite a few cases were reported also in Rezekne, , according to the data released by the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC).

Riga recorded 271 new infection as the cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases in the capital city grew to 2,205.

Meanwhile, Rezekne registered 42 new cases, Jekabpils municipality registered 32 cases, Daugavpils and Jurmala - 29 cases each, Ventspils and Valmiera municipality - 26 cases each, Adazi and Rezekne municipality - 24 cases each. A number of other municipalities recorded fewer cases.

Latvia's cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases per 100,000 population is now 370.9, according to LETA's estimates, based on CDC data.
