Daugavpils next year's budget to be by EUR 6 million smaller
RIGA, Dec 8 (LETA) - The municipal budget of Latvia's southeastern Daugavpils city is projected by EUR 6 million lower than this year, said the city's mayor Igors Prelatovs (Our Party).
He said that, taking into account the general government budget, also municipal budget will be smaller.
The local government will not have funds available for development projects, but the general government has offered local governments loans for infrastructure and social projects. "We have planned funding for co-financing of these projects," said Prelatovs.
According to the mayor, the Daugavpils council plans to invest in a concert hall, a shooting ground, and a technical museum.
According to LETA's arhcive, Daugavpils revenue early this year has been planned at EUR 100,553,147, and it was by 3.9 percent more than the 2019 budget plan.
