Joint exercises Silver Arrow of the NAF and foreign armed forces units will be organized in Latvia in September
RIGA, Sept 6 (LETA) - From September 19 to September 30, the joint military exercise Silver Arrow of the National Armed Forces (NAF) and units of foreign armed forces will be held in Latvia.
These will be exercises of the headquarters and units of the Ground Forces Mechanized Infantry Brigade in the Namejs cycle of national exercises.
Armed forces units from the United States, Great Britain, Germany and Latvia, as well as NATO's soldiers from the Canadian led battle group based in Latvia, plan to participate in the exercise.
The NAF plans to participate in the exercises to test and improve command, supply issues, the readiness of units to deploy to fulfill national defense tasks, to strengthen cooperation between units, as well as to develop the support capabilities of the host country, ensuring the operation of allied forces on the territory of Latvia.
