    Ex-politician Burvis and RTU professor Krasnikovs to run in Saeima elections on Christian Progressive Party's ticket

    RIGA, Aug 2 (LETA) - The Christian Progressive Party's electoral list for the 14th Saeima elections includes former politician Imants Burvis, who runs in the elections as candidate number one in Vidzeme, and Riga Technical University (RTU) professor Andrejs Krasnikovs as the party's candidate number one in Riga, according to information submitted to the Central Election Commission. 

    Burvis, who was elected to the 7th Saeima on the Latvian Social Democratic Association's ticket, is now vice-chairman of the Jurmala Pensioners' Society.

    Eriks Flaumanis, a board member of Art Techno company, leads is the Christian Progressive Party's lead candidate in Latgale. Flaumanis unsuccessfully ran in the 2021 municipal elections in Ropazi on the United for Latvia ticket. 

    Jolanta Zeltina, board chairperson of LLC Riga Audit Agency, tops the Christian Progressive Party's electoral list in Zemgale and bus driver Aivars Osenieks is the party's lead candidate in Kurzeme. 

    The Christian Progressive Party plans to "run processes in Latvia and its society using methods based on the achievements of science".
