New Unity has won majority of seats in Kekava municipality
Riga, June 8 (LETA) - The New Unity has won the most seats in the local elections in Kekava municipality - six out of 19, according to data published by the Central Election Commission (CVK).
The New Unity, represented by incumbent chairwoman Viktorija Baire, received 26.52 percent of the votes.
The joint list of For Latvia's Development and Political Party Growth is in the second place with 18.11 percent of the votes, winning four seats.
The Latvian Association of Regions followed with 11.09 percent of the votes, winning three seats.
The National Alliance provisionally received 10.82 percent of the votes, winning two seats.
The Union of Greens and Farmers received 9.24 percent of the votes, winning two seats.
8.01 percent of votes were cast for Latvia First, also winning two seats at the regional council.
The other four parties in Kekava municipality have not overcome the 5 percent barrier.
