RIGA, Feb 2 (LETA) - The rate of Covid-19 infections in Riga's education institutions continues to rise, according to the information released by the capital city's education, culture and sports department. 

The number of schools where students have switched to distance learning has increased to 62 from 60 a week ago. The number of student groups learning fully or partly remotely has grown to 486 from 450 in the past week. 

The number of preschools affected by Covid-19 cases has risen to 48 from 45, while the number of Covid-19 affected kindergarten groups has grown to 94 from 91. 

Riga Elementary School No.7 and Riga High School No. 33 have fully switched to distance learning this week.
