47 business ideas proposed in grant program organized by SEB and six municipalities
RIGA, Oct 5 (LETA) - As many as 47 new business ideas have been proposed for implementation in Riga Region under a grant program organized by SEB Banka, Jurmala City and the municipalities of Kekava, Marupe, Olaine, Ropazi and Sigulda, the bank's representatives informed LETA.
Entrepreneurs' business plans and areas of activity are linked to various sectors - like last year, most of them are related to tourism and active recreation, as well as production of specialized food products and environmental solutions.
There are also businesses ideas involving medical and health care services, education, digital solutions, as well as manufacture of clothing and furniture.
Entrepreneurs from the municipality of Ropazi have submitted the highest number of business ideas - 12, followed by Marupe with 10 business ideas and Jurmala with eight. The municipalities of Kekava and Sigulda each have submitted seven applications and Olaine three applications.
The projects will be assessed by business professionals and representatives of the municipalities, The maximum grant for a business idea is EUR 10,000, and the total amount of financing available under the program is EUR 70,000.
