RIGA, Jan 7 (LETA) - The municipalities of Pieriga - Marupe, Kekava, Ropazi and Adazi - are showing the highest Covid-19 incidence in Latvia, according to the latest data released by the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC).

Latvia's cumulative two-week number of Covid-19 cases has risen to 735.3 per 100,000 population.

Over the past day, Covid-19 incidence hit 1,614.7 cases per 100,000 population in Marupe municipality, 1,226.9 cases per 100,000 population in Kekava municipality, 1,192.5 cases in Ropazi municipality and 1,116.7 cases in Adazi municipality.

In 12 municipalities, Covid-19 incidence currently exceeds Latvia's average number.

Of the 1,877 new Covid-19 cases confirmed in Latvia in the past 24 hours, 43 percent, or 804 cases, have been recorded in Riga.
