EUR 2.9 million to be used to renovate schools in Riga
Riga, April 16 (LETA) - Several schools in Riga will be renovated for EUR 2.9 million, the Riga City Council decided today.
Renovation and restoration works will be carried out in the building of the Riga Lithuanian Secondary School and the building of the Riga Ilguciems Elementary School.
These projects require EUR 1.13 million. Of this, the municipality will provide EUR 113,000 in funding and borrow over EUR 1 million.
The renovation project will also be carried out in the building of Riga Secondary School No. 89 in the building of the Riga Hanzas Secondary School gym and in the building of Riga Primary School Valodina.
These projects require EUR 1.76 million. Of this, EUR 175,500 will be co-financed by the municipality and EUR 1.6 million will be borrowed.
The financing is to be borrowed from the Treasury or another lender with a repayment period of up to 10 years and a deferred payment of the principal of up to three years.
