Since 2018, 725 residents have remigrated to Pieriga region
RIGA, Sept 27 (LETA) - In the time period from 2018 until this September, 725 residents who had left Latvia earlier have not returned to Pieriga region, according to a discussion on remigration in the Riga Planning Region.
Of the 725 remigrants, 441 were adult residents and 284 were children.
Riga Planning Region's coordinator Daina Sulca said that there is still ongoing work with 558 people on a possibility to return to Latvia. Sulca said that coordinators provide consultations and help to organize all matters related with return, but are not providing financial support.
The thinktank on remigration is attender by 20 experts and five remigrant families who will share their experience about returing back to Latvia.
