Former adviser to Riga executive director picked for head of Spatial Planning and Mobility Department
RIGA, Aug 28 (LETA) - Kristaps Kaulins, a former adviser to Riga City's executive director, will be nominated for director of the Riga City Council's Spatial Planning and Mobility Department, according to LETA's sources.
In a repeated tender, Kaulins was found to be the best candidate for the position.
Kaulins won the tender in a competition of 24 candidates.
Kaulins holds a degree in transport engineering from Riga Technical University. He has been Chairman of the Supervisory Board of JSC Celuprojekts and a local council member in the Olaine municipality.
From 2021, when Martins Stakis (Progressives) was the mayor of Riga, Kaulins was an adviser to the city's executive director. He currently works at the Riga City Council's Finance Department.
