RIGA, Feb 1 (LETA) - Of the 411 new Covid-19 cases confirmed in Latvia in the past 24 hours, 42 percent have been recorded in Riga, while a relatively high number of cases were reported also in the Adazi region, according to the data released by the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC).

The 172 new cases discovered in Riga brought the cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases in the Latvian capital to 3,472. 

The cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases in Adazi reached 117, with 29 cases registered in the past 24 hours. Twenty new cases in Jurmala raised the cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases to 225. Jelgava reported 16 new Covid-19 cases, Olaine region 15, Daugavpils 14 and Sigulda and Tukums regions nine cases each. 

Latvia's cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases per 100,000 population is now 563.2.
