Most of Latvia's new Covid-19 cases recorded in Riga, Daugavpils and Jelgava
RIGA, Mar 24 (LETA) - Of the 776 new Covid-19 cases confirmed in Latvia on Wednesday, 34 percent were recorded in Riga and a relatively high number of cases were recorded also in Daugavpils and Jelgava, according to the data released by the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC).
Riga reported 264 new Covid-19 cases, which brought the capital city's 14-day cumulative number of Covid-19 cases to 2,408.
Daugavpils reported 41 new cases, while the city's cumulative 14-day incidence reached 405. In Jelgava, the cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases reached 277, with 31 cases recorded in the past 24 hours.
Meanwhile, Jurmala recorded 23 new Covid-19 cases, Liepaja recorded 21 cases, Rezekne and the region of Kuldiga each recorded 20 cases, Gulbene recorded 19 cases and the Ogre region 17 cases.
Latvia's cumulative 14-day number of Covid-19 cases per 100,000 population has risen to 379.2, according to LETA's estimates.
