He claimed that strict epidemiological safety and restrictive measures had been established in advance in all branches of the VSAC. Clients and employees have been tested, and all tested negative.
Last week, it became known about the spread of the virus in the VSAC branch Jelgava, and re-testing of clients of other VSAC branches was also provided.
When re-testing all clients and employees of the Kisi branch, Covid-19 infection was detected for the first time in 27 clients and four employees. In total, 89 adults with severe mental disorders receive social care and social rehabilitation services at Kisi.
"Covid-19 infection of the branch's clients are without symptoms, and they remain in otherwise good health," said Zarins.
According to him, the patients have been separated and are being cared for in strict accordance with the instructions from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention and the branch's previously developed action plan for Covid-19 infections. The other clients of the branch are healthy. Employees who are not infected with the virus continue their work and care for customers.
