    Neighborhood activist Kotello joins Progressives

Riga, June 30 (LETA) - On Monday, the board of the Progressives party voted to admit 18 new members, one of whom is Marta Kotello, a newly elected member of the Riga City Council, architect and activist from the Grizinkalns neighborhood, Progressives press secretary Leticija Liva Lukjanska reported.

Kotello believes that a strong and courageous team is needed to achieve great things. By joining the Progressives, she wants to show that she is ready to be part of the team that will build a better city under the leadership of Riga Mayor Viesturs Kleinbergs (Progressives).

Agnese Lace, co-chairwoman of the Progressives, pointed out that there had been successful cooperation with Kotello in the Riga municipal elections and Kotello's contribution to the development of neighborhoods is appreciated.

Lukjanska informed that Kotello is the founder of the largest neighborhood organization in Riga, Grizinkalns, and was also a board member of the Riga Neighborhood Alliance. As an architect, she has a clear vision for urban development, with a particular emphasis on pedestrian comfort and safety. The Progressives value Kotello's experience and see in her a trusted ally for both the Riga City Council and the party team.
