President visits Turkembashi's Christian Cemetery
Title
The memorial to former Latvian President Karlis Ulmanis at the Christian Cemetery in the city of Turkmenbashi. Ulmanis, Latvia's pre-war president and prime minister, was exiled to Turkmenistan by the Soviet government, where he died supposedly in 1942, however, the cause of his death remains a mystery to this day. The last known document before Ulmanis' disappearance is a KGB transcript, which states that Ulmanis was questioned by KGB officers in Turkmenbashi.
